Now onto this week's party: The Really Crafty Link Party is focused on crafts, so the idea is for you to link up all your crafty posts: DIYs, printables, home decor, tutorials, recipes, whatever you want to share. Feel free to share as many links as you want, and old posts are welcome!

I have no problem if you want to add the same link in more than one week; it will still be eligible for a feature but please note that I will comment and add it to the Pinterest board only once. You can add posts on other subjects (family friendly please), but only craft related posts will have a chance to be featured and will be pinned to the party's Pinterest board.

If you host your own party, add it too - it may not be featured, but you'll be sharing it with all of us anyway, and we all love to discover new parties!

DIY bunny wall art

Hello and welcome!

A couple of weeks ago I made my daughter a spring bunny t-shirt and ever since my son has been saying he wants a bunny too. But he's ten and already a bit too old for t-shirts with pom-poms (his opinion, not mine), so we reached a compromise: bunny wall art.

Because, really, can you have too many cute bunnies around?

To make the bunny wall art you will need:
  • one canvas (blank or painted to the color of your choice)
  • one bunny shape (I used my Sizzix bunny die-cut, but any other shape will do)
  • seld adhesive fabric (or regular fabric + fabric glue)
  • one pom-pom

All you need to do is to glue the bunny onto the canvas, and then glue the pom-pom over to form a  tail.

Can it be any easier?

Here is the bunny, in my son's room, next to the felt Easter bunny I made last year (felt Easter bunny tutorial here):

And then I had the usual problem: of course my daughter wanted one too...Here it is (fabric and pom-pom of her choice):

I wasn't planning to make this second bunny, but I have to agree it matches the decor of her room perfectly.

And here are the two of them together:

This is such an easy project I'm considering making a few more to give as Easter gifts.

Well, another spring project completed, several more to go.

Happy Monday,

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - spring at the beach

Last Sunday, the day just before the beginning of spring, was the warmest day of the year so far. So, of course we went to the beach.

The sun was shining, and the water was surprisingly warm.

The kids had fun picking up shells.

Here's part of their loot for the day:

And we stayed almost until sunset, when a bitter wind rose to remind us that it wasn't quite spring yet.

Sadly, the weather has turned again and it's raining today, but better days will surely come.

Happy Wednesday,

Love Spring DIY Hairclips

Hello, and welcome to spring 2017!

Today I back here to share another of my spring projects: the hairclips I made for my daughter to wear on the first day of spring.

Love Spring DIY Hairclips

I started with two simple hairclips, two felt flowers and two smaller felt hearts:

The felt flowers and hearts were cut using my Sizzix Big Shot, but it you don't have one they can be easily replicated if you print similar shapes off the internet and use them as a pattern.

These colors were not my first choice. To be honest, I was vying for green, soft pink or yellow, but my daughter declared she wanted hot pink and purple (her favorite colors) and since she's the one wearing the hairclips, it was only fair to comply.

First I glued the flowers to the hairclips and then the hearts on top of the flowers.

Overall, these were a 10 minute project, and since a girl apparently can't have too many hairclips, they still make one cute spring accessory.
